The Wildlife Society will hold its 28th Annual Conference virtually November 1-5, 2021. In addition to the traditional featured content, such as symposia, oral presentations, posters, panel discussions and workshops, we are looking to learn more about your work as a Wildlifer in a new format…short videos.

The videos should be a means to explain to other Wildlifers, and more importantly the folks who don’t even know they are interested in wildlife. Examples include:

  • What Wildlifers do
  • Why wildlife work is important
  • How Wildlifers make the world a better place
  • What that model really means (your choice of models)
  • How the science of wildlife ecology and management contributes to their life
  • Or other topics exciting to you

The rules are few but important:

  • The video must be under 5 minutes
  • Be creative – the prompts above are just to get your creative juices flowing but answering these are not required
  • Keep in mind that TWS requires its members to up hold our Guidelines for Professional Behavior at TWS Annual Conference

Instructions for Submitting Abstracts

When submitting you will be asked to provide:

  • The .mp4 file
  • Contributor(s) and affiliation(s)
  • A short abstract describing your video (under 150 words)
  • A catch phrase that describes your video (under 55 words) Topics that describe your video, here is a list of those topics

Accepted videos will be shared as a session at TWS2021 Virtual. Exceptional videos may be featured during TWS sponsored live events and one will receive the President’s Choice Award.
