Ready to Explore B’more?
First things first. How do I get from the airport to downtown?
That depends. How did you fly in? Baltimore has three major airports within a 60-mile radius: Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI); Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA); and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). We recommend flying into BWI for the easiest commute downtown – Airport Transportation
For those of you arriving to the conference on Saturday, a friendly reminder that the Baltimore Running Festival is happening that morning and roads around the hotel will be closed: https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/4e684fc07d09484b817575387d26ad53
Is Baltimore a walkable city?
Yes! With offsite events happening at TWS2024 almost daily – Maryland Science Center, Patagonia Baltimore, National Aquarium – we asked Visit Baltimore for some tips about navigating the city. Each of the offsite events are approximately 1-1.5 miles from the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor and surrounded by numerous restaurants and waterfront views. It makes for an enjoyable and easy-to-navigate walk with friends but is still in the heart of a bustling city. To ensure you’re able to explore the city with confidence, please consider the following precautions:
- Travel in groups of three or more.
- Remain in well-lit, high traffic areas.
- Plan your route ahead of time so you don’t get lost.
- Stay alert to your surroundings
- Keep your phone and other valuables tucked into your bag or pocket.
- Don’t hesitate to ask a uniformed officer, guide, security professional, or TWS staff for help or guidance.

Did you drive?
Parking at the hotel is on a first-come, first-served basis, but there are also numerous other parking lots in the city. Visit Baltimore suggests using Spot Hero to find parking or as an alternative to hotel parking.
