Important Reminder: Federal Passport Requirements for U.S. Citizens and U.S. Agency Employees
As you prepare for The Wildlife Society’s Annual Conference in Edmonton, Canada, please be reminded of the following federal passport requirements:
U.S. Citizens
All U.S. citizens traveling to Canada must present a valid passport for entry. Ensure your passport is up-to-date and will remain valid for the duration of your stay in Canada.
U.S. Agency Employees
If you are a U.S. federal agency employee, you must also carry a valid official passport for entry into Canada. State Department policy requires that U.S. federal agency employees use an official passport when undertaking international travel because it signifies that the bearer is traveling abroad on official government business. Please coordinate with your agency’s travel office to ensure all necessary documentation and travel authorizations are in place.
