Don’t overlook one of the best attractions at The Wildlife Society’s 25th Annual Conference: the Members Activity Center.
Yes, there will be coffee. But the Members Activity Center (MAC) offers some of the most dynamic opportunities to learn, network and engage of the entire conference.
Located in Ballroom C at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland, the MAC will host one of the most exciting new events at this year’s conference — designated daily poster sessions. To bring more attention to the presenters and their research, there will be a 50-minute poster session in the MAC each afternoon from 2:30-3:20 p.m. And yes, there will be coffee.
Engage with the Society in the MAC by strolling through the Wildlife Photo Gallery & Contest and voting for your favorites in the People’s Choice category. Or stop by the Working Group Information table, organized by the Student Development Working Group, to learn more about getting involved with any number of working groups that interest you.
With our trade show of over 80 exhibitors situated in the corridor outside the ballroom, there will be plenty of space to network, mingle and chat. Host an informal or unexpected meeting at one of our many networking tables. Students and young professionals are encouraged to bring their resume and stop by the Resume Review to get advice and assistance from wildlife professionals and hiring managers.
End your week with a cocktail or drink of your choice at the Closing Happy Hour & Trade Show Networking Event, another new feature of this year’s conference. This event will take place in the MAC and the main corridor outside the ballrooms where exhibitors will be located. Join us on Thursday from 5-6:30 p.m., immediately following concurrent sessions, to close out a great conference week, then enjoy a free night with friends and colleagues!
With all this — and coffee — the Members Activity Center should be your personal hub for learning, networking and engaging at throughout this year’s conference. See you there!
